Oliver / Hatcher’s renovation experts have the knowledge needed for specialty Research and Development spaces. Our team was contracted to expand and renovate the Nissan North American Technical Center.
The renovation included a 6,800 SF expansion to the existing research and development facility, for the creation of a new anechoic chamber. The construction of the new isolated Anechoic Chamber included a vibration-dampening concrete floor, sound attenuating mechanical systems, and 11’ tall STC-rated double doors. Additional scope included providing monoxide gas and moisture indicators connected to the central systems and coordinating the installation of the owner-furnished anechoic cones, crane, hoist, CCTV system, and sound curtains. Extensions and connections to existing Nissan services and supplies were accomplished during off-hours to minimize interruption.
