Ashley Capital Buys Former Gm Land Next To Amazon Facility, Plans New Building

Industrial developer Ashley Capital finalized the purchase of nearly 19 acres of Livonia land from the entity overseeing the disposition of former General Motors Co. properties.

The New York City-based developer, which has a Canton Township office, intends to spend $32 million building another 370,000 square feet of logistics space at the corner of Eckles and Amrhein roads next to where it built a 1.5 million-square-foot, two-building center a few years ago that now has Amazon.com Inc. occupying 1 million square feet starting in 2017 and Republican National Distribution Co. occupying another 500,000 in 2019.
