Oliver/Hatcher Construction implements multiple technological tools to improve our customer service and overall management of the project. We utilize Pantera, Microsoft Project, Timberline, On Screen and Auto CAD as management tools on all of our projects. These systems promote seamless communication between the Owner, Architect and Construction Manager or General Contractor.
Pantera is a our on-line plan room. The plan room provides everyone on the project team access to the most current contract documents via any internet connection. In addition to serving the project team, the Owner would have the ability to similarly track the project status from any remote location.
On-Screen is our estimating software. The take-off quantities developed by this program are tied directly to our historical cost database which allows us to develop accurate budget estimates.
Bluebeam allows us to turn turn MS Office and CAD drawings into PDF files. We have the ability to mark up PDF's with text, notes, clouds, and other items such as CAD symbols. This information can be shared with all project team members via the cloud.
Microsoft Project is our scheduling software. This is used to establish all project milestones and assigns specific responsibilities to the individual team members. The project schedule is updated regularly during the construction phase of the project to ensure all the milestone dates are met.
Our accounting / project management software. Designed specifically for the construction and real estate industry, the program integrates the various project functions between estimating, project management and accounting. Timberline is used to develop project reporting tools including Job Cost reports, payment applications, permit logs, drawing logs and RFI logs.
Is a cloud based program tied directly to our corporate server. Utilizing this application in the field allows our field personnel to upload documents and photographs to our server in real time for review and use by all project personnel. · In addition to the aforementioned software, all of our Project Managers, Superintendents and Estimators are equipped with laptop computers and iPads.
OHC’s iPad program has made construction mobile. When our superintendents need to read a drawing or check a diagram, they don’t have to go back to their trailer to unroll a set of drawings or wait for their laptop to start up, they grab their iPad. These devices give our staff instant access to schedules, contacts, email, and other business resources. By utilizing FaceTime, the built-in front and rear cameras allow us to deliver video feedback to our customers and project staff in real time. This provides for continuous flow of important project information.
